Off The Road
'Off The Road' bike club offers a unique opportunity to men and women of all ages, who have had a history of substance misuse, to learn off road bike skills, workshop practice including bike mechanics and welding, as well as the equally important benefits of confidence building, making friends, outdoor activity and fun!

The group is facilitiated over 14 weeks by a qualified ACU coach and an assistant, who create a friendly, safe environment for bike novices to relax and really get to grips with all things bike, using 125-250cc trial machines.

Participants on the group are encouraged to work towards their CBT licence, and several graduates from the group now ride their own bikes, to get around. Lack of transport is often a practical barrier to individuals entering employment and training in rural cornwall.
THe Off Road group is affiliated to the Auto Cycle Union. Each course runs for 14 weeks, three times a year. It is offered to up to 10 people per course who are in recovery from drug and/or alcohol , and is etremely popular.

It's not just for boys! Lots of our female clients join this group too and have really enjoyed it!
